A HUDSON FAMILY STORY

Family Beach Trip

1 / 37

Our Family Beach Trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 🌊

My mom planned a family beach trip, so we packed our bags and flew from Las Vegas to South Carolina for a few days of fun in the sun!

We stayed in an Airbnb near North Myrtle Beach, and Timmy’s family even made the drive down to spend an evening with us. Between beach days, family time, and exploring some of Myrtle Beach’s fun attractions, we had such a wonderful vacation!

Fun in the Sun β˜€οΈ

Of course, we spent plenty of time at the beach!

We brought along a beach tent to escape the sun when we needed a break, along with plenty of sand toys for the kids. We swam, splashed around in the ocean, dug in the sand, and built sandcastles.

Harrison apparently thought the beach was the perfect place for a nap because he spent a good portion of our first day sleeping! πŸ˜‚

Sami had a blast playing in the sand and enjoying the water. It was so nice just relaxing and spending time together.

Family Time with Mamaw, Papaw, and Uncle Del ❀️

Timmy’s family drove down to spend an evening with us, which was such a nice surprise to add to our vacation!

Mamaw, Papaw, and Uncle Del joined us for dinner at a seafood restaurant, and afterward, we spent some time exploring the boardwalk together.

We loved getting to spend some extra time with them!

A Day at WonderWorks

The next day, we visited WonderWorks at Broadway at the Beach, and it was a blast!

Sami wanted to try just about every attraction. She was having so much fun exploring everything and even worked up the courage to lie on a bed of nails!

I love watching her try new things, especially when she’s a little nervous at first. She had such a great time!

Sami’s Magical Mermaid Makeover πŸ§œβ€β™€οΈ

That evening, we headed back to Broadway at the Beach and came across the cutest little shop offering mermaid makeovers.

Of course, Sami was in heaven!

She got her very own mermaid makeover, and afterward, she was given the opportunity to go on stage and sing a song.

She choseΒ “Lost Boy” by Ruth B., and she did such a great job! I was so proud of her for getting up there and singing.

Seeing her so happy and having so much fun was definitely one of my favorite parts of the trip. ❀️

Carnival Fun 🎑

There was a little carnival near our Airbnb, so we decided to take the kids over for a few hours.

Harrison had quite the love-hate relationship with the rides. He’d get on all excited, but after a few seconds, he was ready to get right back off! πŸ˜‚

He absolutely loved the slide, though, and enjoyed all the music, colorful lights, and excitement.

We had so much fun watching the kids enjoy themselves!

Our Visit to Ripley’s Aquarium 🐠

To finish off our trip, we visited Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach!

There were so many amazing sea creatures to see, and the kids loved exploring the aquarium.

They even got to meet a real-life mermaid! Between Sami’s mermaid makeover and getting to meet an actual mermaid at the aquarium, this trip was full of mermaid magic!

Goodbye, Myrtle Beach! 🌴

We had such a wonderful time in Myrtle Beach! Between playing at the beach, visiting fun attractions, and spending time with family, we couldn’t have asked for a better little getaway.

I’m so glad my mom planned this trip for us. We made so many wonderful memories, and I’m already looking forward to our next family adventure! ❀️
